CCTV News: Since mid to late June, early rice in Jiangxi has gradually entered the stage of heading, flowering, and filling, which is a critical period for rice yield formation. However, in recent days, high temperatures have continued to occur in many areas of Jiangxi, affecting the growth of early rice. Various regions actively take measures to improve field management.

Starting from June 25th, the temperature in Huichang, Ganzhou has been continuously rising, with the highest temperature exceeding 37 ℃ on July 1st. During the filling stage, rice is subjected to continuous heat disasters such as sunny and hot weather, which can easily lead to early ripening and empty shells, affecting yield. Local agricultural technicians are organized to guide farmers in early rice irrigation, water regulation, and prevention of high temperature and heat damage as well as the occurrence of diseases and pests.

In Linchuan, Fuzhou, the local area relies on an intelligent agricultural monitoring system installed in the field to monitor the growth environment of rice in real time. Based on monitoring data analysis, farmers are guided to carry out field management.

The intelligent agricultural monitoring system built in Linchuan, Fuzhou can monitor and manage 150000 acres of early rice from over 2000 farmers in real-time.

Gaozhou, Guangdong: Early rice harvesting begins with high efficiency on smart farms

At present, over 13 million acres of early rice in Guangdong Province have entered the mature stage and are being harvested one after another.

In the pilot smart farm in Chetianwei Village, Baoguang Street, Gaozhou City, thousands of acres of early rice ears are full, and many harvesters work in the paddy fields. The rice production here has achieved full mechanization, reducing labor costs while also increasing grain yield. The reporter learned from Gaozhou Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau that the sown area of early rice in Gaozhou this year is more than 400000 mu, and the harvest has exceeded 30%. It is expected that all the harvest will be completed in the middle of July.
